US-Iran Nuclear Talks: A Step Towards Bridging Deep Distrust
In a significant development, the latest rounds of talks between the US and Iran in february this year have reportedly made progress, thanks to the technical expertise of international mediators, including rafael grossi, the head of the international atomic energy agency (iaea), and seasoned diplomats from other countries.
According to sources, the two delegations were able to narrow some of the gaps, particularly on the nuclear file, where iran offered new concessions, including the dilution of its highly enriched uranium.
However, despite this progress, the talks were ultimately derailed, and tensions between the two nations escalated once again.
