Strait of Hormuz Reopens with Restrictions Amid Ongoing Tensions
Iranian Official Confirms Strait of Hormuz Open with Restrictions
Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Saeed Khatibzadeh has announced that the Strait of Hormuz is now open to maritime traffic, but with certain restrictions in place.
According to Khatibzadeh, ships passing through the strategic waterway must coordinate with Iranian forces due to the presence of mines and other wartime measures.
The Iranian official emphasized that all vessels, including those from the United States, can pass through the strait as long as they demonstrate no 'hostile behavior.'
It remains to be seen how these restrictions will be enforced and whether they will impact international shipping in the region.
