Jeffrey Epstein and NYC Psychiatrist Henry Jarecki Exchanged Emails on 'Trouble Avoidance' in 2009
Emails Reveal Plan to Avoid Trouble with the Law
An email between Jeffrey Epstein and his billionaire psychiatrist friend, Henry Jarecki, has been released by the Department of Justice, revealing a plan to avoid trouble with the law, including steps such as wearing disguises or undergoing plastic surgery.
The email, sent on May 1, 2009, was titled 'What If I Get Caught' and contained a list of items essential to escape law enforcement, including 'don't use credit cards' and 'computer security' for 'trouble avoidance.'
At the time, Epstein was nearing the end of his 13-month Florida prison sentence for solicitation of prostitution as part of his 2008 non-prosecution 'sweetheart deal.'
The email also listed 'post-trouble' options, including 'disguises,' 'plastic surgeon,' and 'documents generation: birth certificate, driver's license.'
Another point listed the importance of 'multiple passports,' which Epstein was known to have used to travel to the United Kingdom, France, and Saudi Arabia between 1982 and 1983.
The email was sent by Jarecki's assistant, purportedly at the doctor's request to write a book on the topic.
Despite the two-decade age difference, the two men had a close relationship, with Jarecki traveling on Epstein's private jet and the two hanging out in the Caribbean.
Jarecki has been accused of rape by one of Epstein's victims, after she was allegedly sent to the shrink for depression.
A former model claimed she was trafficked to Jarecki in 2011, when Epstein gave her a mental health referral.
Jarecki has denied the allegations and claimed that the email was intended as humorous 'advice' to someone about to be released from prison for crimes he maintained were fabricated.
