The european continent is grappling with an unprecedented energy crisis, forcing policymakers to reassess their strategies to ensure a stable energy supply.

In this context, reviving nuclear energy has emerged as a potential solution. Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) have garnered significant attention worldwide, with several countries and companies investing heavily in their development.

Notably, the US and Japan recently announced a $40 billion project to develop SMRs in Tennessee and Alabama, marking a significant milestone in the global pursuit of this technology.

In the UK, environment secretary Emma Reynolds has published the regulatory justification for Rolls-Royce's plan to become the first company to build SMRs, paving the way for a potential nuclear revival.
