**BREAKING NEWS:** President Trump has reshared Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s tweet offering Pakistan as the host for meaningful and conclusive talks to end the war in the Middle East.  

  

Sharif wrote that Pakistan fully supports ongoing efforts for dialogue and stands ready to facilitate talks between the US and Iran for a comprehensive settlement.  

  

This comes as Trump has been hinting at back-channel contacts while demanding the Strait of Hormuz be fully opened.  

  

Is Pakistan’s mediation offer a real chance to end the conflict?  

**A.** Yes – unique position with ties to both sides  

**B.** No – deep mistrust makes success unlikely
